Getting into esoteric territory here, but it looks like a lot of the NBA on-court/off-court stats count a guy as being "on court" if he's substituted in before a free throw attempt. Seems to me like it should be based on who was on court for the foul that lead to the FT instead. — PolitiTweet.org

@rd11490 Working through this very problem right now and I think fractional possessions might be the most elegant solution. I doubt it makes much difference, though! Assigning FT to the right players is actually somewhat material, though, can affect some guys' net rating by +/- 1 per 100. — PolitiTweet.org
