I agree it’s a very tough call. might be that simple “here are the stories I wrote this week” newsletters get approved, and “here’s a a daily report about my beat” doesn’t.” there’s a middle path here that probably works, but it mostly works against reporters — PolitiTweet.org

Couple more notes on this: - The newsletter move came about as part of a shift to a centralized process for approving book, TV, and speaking deals for staff. - Staff newsletters could still very well be approved — they just need permission now. — PolitiTweet.org
