@benpopper there are other reasons to go electric of course, such as never having to go to the gas station, much smaller carbon footprint (when traveling, the manufacturing footprint still very high), no engine maintenance etc. — PolitiTweet.org

@benpopper I've done this math myself so many times and I have just settled that with current (low) fuel costs and (high) costs of electric cars, the economic argument doesn't go very far in favor of electric/hybrids. — PolitiTweet.org
