There is no drilling fast enough to drive oil prices down soon. We should find more supply, but 1) this takes time 2) any new domestic production would likely be exported 3) clean energy will make it so we aren’t vulnerable to these autocrats anymore 4) the planet is on fire — PolitiTweet.org

@GenericName2022 We are, but that wouldn’t help. Our refineries are mostly older and configured to process heavier crude, from Canada for instance. If we banned exports then there would just be a glut of the light sweet oil that we produce from shale. We’d hand more market power to OPEC. — PolitiTweet.org
