@sahilkapur I honestly think it’s more about the disagreements. There’s a healthy number of Republicans totally fine with a broad AUMF. @OKnox @sahilkapur I certainly think fear is a factor, particularly of owning a conflict (which is in that long piece). But I think just saying “it’s fear” actually plays into a Republican talking point. One side almost entirely has a problem with the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs. One side largely doesn’t. — PolitiTweet.org
