This bill is significant because it wouldn't just cover contractors or critical infrastructure firms. It would also require disclosure from the companies that are hired to respond to hacks. Those firms, such as FireEye, have the lion's share of the intel about attacks in the US. — PolitiTweet.org

CISA/DOJ/ODNI would have to issue rules for this program, including which companies have to report hacks and what exactly they have to report. There could be more companies covered than just the ones I've mentioned. The bill just sets those as the minimum. — PolitiTweet.org
