I don't think an encryption-busting bill could pass either chamber of Congress at this point. It probably has better odds in the Senate, but in the House, even with Ted Poe gone, there's strong bipartisan support for encryption. — PolitiTweet.org

John Bolton has significantly scaled back NSC deputies committee meetings, so the fact that deputy secretaries and deputy agency directors — who have a lot to do, especially with so many secretary/director vacancies — decided to meet on this is interesting. — PolitiTweet.org
