Wood's error is called *modus (ponendo) ponens*, affirming the consequent. "If P, then Q. Q, therefore P". See #FooledbyRandomness. Also gives insight on via negativa, which works: "If P then Q. NonQ, therefore NonP" is valid, *modus (tollendo) tollens*. BTW Latin is beautiful. — PolitiTweet.org
