If you look at the city's data, which is based on the date of diagnosis rather than the date of reporting, things are pretty steady. @joshtpm It was sort of a one-off circumstance. The City's data went offline for ~5 days a week or so ago. When they came back online, the City backfilled the data based on the date of diagnosis (as the City always does). But the NYT treated it as a huge new spike of cases. — PolitiTweet.org
