As far as my own priors from a polling/public opinion standpoint: I think one important point of context is that Democrats overestimated how popular M4A was, in part because a lot of voters thought "Medicare for All" meant a Medicare/public *option* when asked about it in polls. — PolitiTweet.org

@joshtpm I mean I think it's really interesting episode. I think M4A advocates actually did succeed in moving the Overton Window on health care with this strategy. The question is what the trade-offs/collateral damage is. Obviously it hasn't helped Warren one bit. — PolitiTweet.org
