To a journalist who knows the story in and out, maybe the hearings didn't reveal much that they didn't already know. So maybe *journalists* were bored. But the public doesn't know as much, the conduct described is very serious, and impeachment is a fairly rare, historic process. — PolitiTweet.org

Agree with this. Public opinion is important to the impeachment process. The problem with journalists saying the hearings lacked "pizzazz" etc. is sort of the opposite: Journalists are presuming how the public will feel or is supposed to feel based on how *journalists* feel. — PolitiTweet.org

It's a bit weird, at least in a US context, when people are calling candidates like Hillary Clinton Joe Biden "centrists". They're definitely left of center relative to the overall US political spectrum. And their views are well-aligned with those of the median Democratic voter. — PolitiTweet.org
