@MarkHarrisNYC @jbouie I'm obviously not a constitutional scholar but IMO impeachment would be a better remedy in cases like these: 1. The official wasn't elected (e.g. SCOTUS judge) 2. A clear majority of the public wants the official removed, espeically if no election soon or official is a lame duck. — PolitiTweet.org

@jbouie Yeah, I suppose I don't I agree—I think removing an elected official is a huge step in a democracy, so I think Congress should weigh whether there other remedies (e.g. a forthcoming election with the official on the ballot) as well as strongly consider public opinion (polls etc.) — PolitiTweet.org
