The “universal pre-k” program Democrats passed is a 50-50 federal matching program so lots of states won’t participate (ACA Medicaid expansion was 90% federal money) but it’s also only 3 years of funding. Actual impact on number of kids in pre-k is likely to be modest at best. — PolitiTweet.org
