I think this is a misperception about Brown that is driving wishful thinking about OH-SEN in 2022. He ran in the blessed 2006/2012/2018 cycles for Democrats, but a Brown-quality performance in the 2020 national political environment would’ve been a loss. — PolitiTweet.org

Given what happens historically in midterms, it will be challenging for Democrats to defend incumbents in AZ, NV, GA, and NH and an uphill climb to win in PA or WI. But all of those are at least broadly plausible. Kasich in OH would be a great bonus, like Romney in UT. — PolitiTweet.org
