I really wish there was more specificity in the conversation around “lockdowns” and “opening up.” For me and millions of other parents by far the most practically consequential aspect of “lockdown” is that schools are closed, and many “reopenings” don’t involve opening them. — PolitiTweet.org

Given bad federal policy, a state government calculus is that restaurants generate tax revenue while school closures save money so if you have to be half-open you open restaurants and close schools. But that’s a choice made by congress and the president. — PolitiTweet.org
