Due to the happenstance of politics, that case levels are dropping right now is generally taken as a point in favor of the Openers but it raises the question — if cases go back up will the Openers lock down again? I suspect the real view is suppression is the wrong goal. — PolitiTweet.org

If you’re not aiming for suppression it’s not totally clear that falling case numbers is desirable. Maybe we want kids to all get infected this summer so we can run schools in the fall? I’d rather beat the virus; but if we’re not going to try it’s a different set of tradeoffs. — PolitiTweet.org
