Tweeting less for pity than to see if anyone has an idea of what to do. Interviews aren't much good if they're locked on a tape recorder that suddenly doesn't transfer files. — PolitiTweet.org

Trusty little recorder crapped out halfway through reporting trip. This morning, the laptop recognized it; now it doesn't, so I can't download files. Only thing that changed; I bumped it last time I used it, got the "you should have used eject key" prompt. https://t.co/fDzOw1gufl — PolitiTweet.org

The "hit eject key" thing happens all the time. The USB-C era Macbooks require you to connect a traditional USB device via a dongle; unless you're incredibly graceful, you're going to bump it out of place sometimes. It's never affected device before, suddenly it's bricked it. — PolitiTweet.org
