@cwarzel still, if i work until 5 or 6pm at home, then have to get kids from daycare or start the dinner routine, even with non-pandemic WFH scenarios, there still isn’t really a break or transition time. it certainly works for some people and certain occupations, but not all. — PolitiTweet.org

@matthewhughes @cwarzel honestly never thought i’d miss the forced “offline” time on a subway. — PolitiTweet.org

@kevin_doyle @cwarzel my two older kids are back in school, we have a toddler who is still home. — PolitiTweet.org

@saschasegan @cwarzel i’m now vaccinated and the weather is nicer so i’m looking for options to work somewhere outside of my home, but then i remember i have calls all day and can’t take them in public so, home is where i’m stuck for now. — PolitiTweet.org

@cwarzel absolutely! — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@cwarzel perhaps. but many people benefit from “forced” transitions or breaks. they just won’t take them if left to their own devices. — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@cwarzel if you don’t have kids, you might not feel the same, but parents generally don’t get time to “break” when kids need attention right away. — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@cwarzel i disagree! it’s very weird to say this, but one thing i’ve missed over the past 15 months is the time i have to decompress/to myself during my commute. at home, i go from working immediately into home/parenting work, there’s no transition. it’s unexpectedly more exhausting. — PolitiTweet.org

@alexhcranz the American Scam. there’s an entire industry of knowledge and advice on how you can improve your mysterious credit score, but the only thing that really makes a tangible difference is “make more money” — PolitiTweet.org

@thatgeekdad same here. CR-V is the most popular car in the NY/NJ/CT area. in my neighborhood it’s an endless line of Pilots at school pickup/dropoff. kinda baffling that Honda hasn’t been more aggressive in EV development, seeing as it had the Insight two decades ago. — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@NexusBen @backlon as you wrote, it’s samsung’s problem to solve! — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@thatgeekdad if i were a cooler person i’d like to think i could pull of that wacky Canoo truck, but i’m afraid i’m not. i just need the EV equivalent of a three-row honda pilot that isn’t the Model X. — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@NexusBen on @backlon’s suggestion i got the “aramid” samsung fold 2 case with the kickstand built in and while it still mostly sucks, it’s been my preferred one so far. the little kickstand works as a pop socket to help hold the phone one handed. can still wirelessly charge too. — PolitiTweet.org
dan seifert @dcseifert
@thatgeekdad rural areas are also prime places to install solar panels/farms, so you could in theory charge your EV for "free" — PolitiTweet.org

@thatgeekdad (the electric F150 is a good and necessary step, don’t get me wrong. let’s just hope it doesn’t suck.) — PolitiTweet.org

@thatgeekdad sure, but it's a chicken and egg problem until the infrastructure is in place. — PolitiTweet.org
