turns out i was wrong on both counts — my camera outputs audio and video over HDMI and the dongle shows up as an audio input device on my Mac. great success (now of course i’m shopping for a shotgun mic to mount on top of the camera) — PolitiTweet.org

i should have expected it since HDMI obviously carries audio, but i kinda thought it just wouldn’t work, either because my camera wouldn’t send an audio signal out its HDMI port for some reason or because the capture dongle wouldn’t show up as an audio input on my computer — PolitiTweet.org

started using Raycast instead of Alfred on my mac recently and it mostly does the same things except i can now hit cmd-space and type “dark” and it will change my system to dork mode when i hit enter and i think that’s pretty neat — PolitiTweet.org
