3/ This is going on when the vast majority of people have yet to be vaccinated and supplies of vaccines, while growing, are still way too sparse. And while the new, more dangerous virus variants are spreading through the country. — PolitiTweet.org

2/ This includes my home state of Maryland, where the moderate GOP Governor hired a Trump medical advisor with a controversial record and then suddenly lifted capacity limits on many types of indoor locations. At least he kept the masks, unlike in Texas. — PolitiTweet.org

1/ Some politicians are jeopardizing victory over the pandemic. After Dr. Fauci and others warned that we need to be extra vigilant this spring in order to have a near-normal summer, governors in several states have suddenly lifted many or even all anti-virus limitations. — PolitiTweet.org

@mmccourty @nytimes Um, I see where you’re going with this, but press coverage isn’t the problem. Stealing of private info by web companies and tracking people without permission are the problems. Plus, you can’t stop the press from naming “private citizens” because of the First Amendment. — PolitiTweet.org

Despite all the misinformation spread by Facebook, this switch from opt-out to opt-in is all Apple is doing with its forthcoming new tracking option. People that are fine being tracked across the web can still choose to be tracked. But we need to incorporate this policy in a law. — PolitiTweet.org

Please read this @nytimes editorial calling for a federal law requiring OPT-IN privacy settings instead of today’s ubiquitous opt-out settings which are often hidden, complex and make privacy theft the default. This is a simple, clear way to help people protect their privacy. — PolitiTweet.org

@rizvified I was never in lockdown. The restaurants were closed or limited for indoor dining, depending on the location and the Covid stats. We chose voluntarily to use takeout and not to eat at restaurants. And I’m glad we did. I’m optimistic we’ll be comfortable doing so by summer. — PolitiTweet.org
