@jrwortman What a great story, Josh! Even those of us who didn’t know you were terribly worried when you were hospitalized and incredibly thrilled when that tube came out! Happy anniversary of your recovery. — PolitiTweet.org

@anndavisgarvin Moderna doesn’t need super-cold storage. Just regular household freezer temps. Most doctors offices have this. — PolitiTweet.org

It baffles me that the distribution plan for the vaccine often excluded doctors offices, Americans’ main point of contact with health care. I do understand the need for large volume vaccinators, but adding doctors would have helped a lot, IMO, and given hesitant folks confidence. — PolitiTweet.org

@SirAndrewMoray The logistics of getting the first shot were terrible too. And, around my area, many places booked second appointments when you go your first one. — PolitiTweet.org

@shashib At first, it was a shortage of doses. But the bigger issue was and is bungled distribution. First, doling out the vaccine in too-small amounts. Second, letting each state, and, in some cases, each city and county, use different rules & systems and terrible, inconsistent software. — PolitiTweet.org

For context, my county has over 1 million people, the most in Maryland, bigger than either Baltimore or D.C., and larger than 6 entire states. Its budget for this year is $6 billion. I know the whole nation will soon have more access to vaccines, but wish it had happened faster. — PolitiTweet.org

As happy as I am to be fully vaccinated, the great majority of people in my populous suburban DC county in Maryland haven’t received even a single shot. It’s about 29% with one shot of the vaccines that require two, and 15% with full vaccination. https://t.co/BH5RJlXWo8 — PolitiTweet.org
