2/ There are a lot of myths about this transaction, which I discussed in detail at the time with both CEOs. For one thing, Microsoft got a patent cross-licensing pact out of the deal. For another, it got to be able to tell the government and others that it had competition. — PolitiTweet.org

Among the most important but least hyped tech companies is ARM Holdings, the UK-born chip design firm whose tech underlies the highly lauded new custom chips from @Apple and now @Google . Little-known fact: Apple once owned a significant share of ARM, but sold it many years ago. https://t.co/aHMGbqRn5L — PolitiTweet.org

@dontasktig @TigNotaro I’m a regular listener of the podcast, and love not only the discussion, but the outro music by Edie Brickell. Is there any way to buy or stream the full version as a separate song, for listening between episodes. Thanks. Cc: @ebnewbohemians. https://t.co/t0Qd9m09O1 — PolitiTweet.org

@backlon @karaswisher He was announcing that iTunes would henceforth include podcasts. They asked me if I’d record a little something for the demo. I agreed and they sent a whole professional audio crew to record it in a room they had rented in the hotel to use as a studio. — PolitiTweet.org

@harrymccracken @RadioShack The TRS 80 Model 100 portable computer. Launched in 1983, it was a rebranded Kyocera machine, according to Wikipedia. Base model had 8 KB (that’s kilobytes, not megabytes or gigabytes or terabytes). It used AA batteries. Best feature: a built-in 300 baud dial-up modem. https://t.co/Bzk7CWQjks — PolitiTweet.org

@harrymccracken As an Apple II owner in the early 1980’s, I don’t recall giving a minute’s thought to the TRS-80. I didn’t look down on anyone who had one. The @RadioShack PC I used and loved was the proto laptop/tablet, the Model 100. It had a built-in modem.I filed stories from the road on it. — PolitiTweet.org

It’s time to get serious about mask, vaccination/and or frequent test mandates. (And yes I know that in rare cases vaccinated people can be transmitters.) If you want to be part of society, you have to help protect society. It was a mistake from the start to let states decide. — PolitiTweet.org

@reckless McCartney did produce an alternate version of Let It Be, stripping away the Phil Spector additions. But he had the right to do so, and the original is still available, preferred by many who learned it originally.
