I think this is generally better for research and transparency reasons (as well as crediting the original source). Oftentimes, videos will get shared and the context of who shared them gets lost, especially when looking back at old videos/posts. — PolitiTweet.org
Rob Lee @RALee85
Not sure how this will be applied, but I try to almost always provide a source for the videos and photos I share. That way people can determine the credibility of the source themselves (e.g. Ukrainian military facebook accounts) and can track where the content originates. — PolitiTweet.org

He subsequently said this video was actually made two years ago but he mentions “northern neighbors” joining NATO and mobilization in the video which obviously weren’t the case two years ago. Sounds as though he announced this before he was supposed to. https://t.co/b76X6oc6hJ — PolitiTweet.org

A Russian military commissar said in a video that conscripts called up in the spring will serve for 1 and a half years and those called up in the fall of 2023 will serve for two years. @SashoTodorov1 @Nik0pol5 @spawnofKahn Do you have a link to the docs from the 96th? Kharkiv was one place where Ukraine couldn't trade space for time. Other captured docs indicate that the units were concerned about resistance, but the plan was dictated to them. — PolitiTweet.org
Rob Lee @RALee85
@SashoTodorov1 @Nik0pol5 @spawnofKahn It sounds as though the 200th was pretty well-manned and well-equipped. The units, like the 200th, that went into Kharkiv were in a fight right away. I think this is an example of the problems that come with receiving no warning. — PolitiTweet.org

"The troops, like others in the invading force, were led to believe they were deploying to take part in drills, according to Ukrainian officials citing accounts of captured 200th soldiers. Only at 3 a.m. on Feb. 24 were they told, 'There will be shooting,' an official said." https://t.co/Op8xHAd7Q9 — PolitiTweet.org

Useful look at the Northern Fleet's 200th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade, which took serious losses at the outset of the war. If both of its BTGs invaded Ukraine with more than 700 personnel each, it was pretty well-manned compared to other units. https://t.co/9tdxhFomEN https://t.co/rgNMCPO5a2 — PolitiTweet.org

@shashj I think much depends on foreign support for Russia as well. If they get a large number of Iranian UAVs and missiles and North Korean artillery ammunition, that will affect their strategy and current expenditure rate. Certainly appropriate to consider the worst case scenario. — PolitiTweet.org

Rob Lee @RALee85
I'm skeptical that Russia could seriously threaten Kyiv with an offensive next month, but it is an open question whether Ukraine can retake all of its territory with the current level of foreign support. More ammunition and arms to prevent the former would help with the latter. — PolitiTweet.org
