Vladlen Tatarsky and Starshe Eddy both criticize the generals who blamed Makiivka on cellphones. They say it is another indicator that the generals don't know what is going on (everyone has phones) or about warfare. Tatarsky says phones are often used to correct artillery fire. https://t.co/FHN2GrdBSl — PolitiTweet.org

@MarkHertling Agreed, but I think the bigger issue is that Ukraine is using tank ammunition heavily, including in an indirect-fire role, and there are fewer external options for sourcing that ammo. The better option is a NATO tank with a 120mm cannon, but this is a step in the right direction — PolitiTweet.org
Rob Lee @RALee85
One of the main factors for further arms deliveries isn't just about these systems' advantages, but whether Ukraine's existing systems will have enough ammo 6-12 months from now. Better to start training Ukrainian soldiers sooner before ammo shortages have an operational effect. — PolitiTweet.org

Two points: -Ukraine will now have a system with a new type of ammunition, which will add logistics complexities but should help alleviate ammunition shortages for 125mm tank rounds. -This is another step in the Ukrainian military adopting NATO equipment, which will continue. — PolitiTweet.org

Another case of mobilized soldiers not being used according to their training. In this case, they were trained to be BMP mechanics but found out they’d be infantry. They received little training and had to find instructors and buy equipment themselves. https://t.co/WDk9edF7z7 https://t.co/IvVk1fx4cd — PolitiTweet.org

This is obviously just one anecdote, but if it is accurate and representative of the status of the new units Russia has formed/reformed in Belarus, they may not pose that much of an offensive threat. 8/ — PolitiTweet.org

He says all of the documents show the unit is ready to be deployed even though it is a lie. He notes that this unit performed poorly in February in Kharkiv and would likely fare even worse now given the lack of training/preparation. (h/t @Mortis_Banned) 7/ — PolitiTweet.org

This included cursing out a mobilized soldier (who previously served in a spetsnaz unit and had combat experience but was sent to a tank unit) in public. He said the battalion aid station is just on paper and there are no doctors, and that they are supposed to deploy soon. 6/ — PolitiTweet.org

The channel claims he was a company commander who was then promoted to battalion CoS before taking command of the battalion. It claims he drinks and has set fire to the battalion HQ twice, isn't respected by the officers or soldiers, and is rude to his subordinates. 5/ — PolitiTweet.org
Rob Lee @RALee85
He also ID'd the battalion commander as Major Rasim Kh who was captured in February 2022 before being exchanged. It seems they're referring to then Captain Rasim Tagiev. The GUR has him listed as the then CoS of the 2nd BTG. 4/ https://t.co/W05pa3CbTI https://t.co/I6ppKFcfy9 https://t.co/cLPUYI7s3I — PolitiTweet.org
