Wow. That dude deceptively framed my argument as something it wasn’t, insulted me, and then he deleted that mess with a quickness when I called him out on it. You call out what we spend around the world and they try to only discuss funds categorized as “foreign aid.” No. — PolitiTweet.org

I didn’t specify funds categorized as “foreign aid”— it’s also about our military expenditures in situations that that likely wouldn’t be occurring were it not for our choices. Add everything spent in Afghanistan after Taliban fell and Iraq into your equation. You do better. https://t.co/feaMLwRgyx — PolitiTweet.org

Wow, things are going great in our country. Maybe we should send hundreds of billions more to foreign nations across the globe to celebrate how great everything’s going. Because we don’t need those resources here at all. — PolitiTweet.org

Correct. I strongly suggest applying mental energy and resources to insulating yourself and your loved ones from the effects of our leaders’ idiocy and ineptitude. At the very least, have candles, sleeping bags, and some food and water saved up. — PolitiTweet.org

To me it seems best to have ability to go off grid, but stay on grid and use the credits at night I build up over the day with my panels. That way I’m not cycling batteries as much and they’ll last longer. Power has gone out in area several times, then system functioned off grid. — PolitiTweet.org

Stone @StoneAxe8

@MichelleInCAL @brandondarby @physicsgeek I'm pretty convinced this is the way to go. Have the ability to go off grid.

Correct. And when the grid isn’t working, the gas pumps won’t work, etc.. But most people don’t think about stuff like that. They just have knee jerk reactions to someone getting a solar power system or an electric vehicle. — PolitiTweet.org

Paul Herzog @PaulHerzog3

@brandondarby How do people think gasoline gets made? To refine gas out of oil you need electricity (among other things).

Here’s a weird thought: if your child is 14 and you want to get them a car when they turn 16, you’d better get on a waiting list soon… and currently new cars can be cheaper than used ones. — PolitiTweet.org

@Catherine_LCP There are a lot of things people can do to be prepared. Provided they pay their debts over the past 7 years, they can get a very low interest loan with nothing upfront. The cost is comparable with current power bill. They also get a 23% tax credit on total cost — PolitiTweet.org

I’m set up with a good solar power system and have the ability to go off grid. I’d strongly suggest people who are able work toward and prioritize doing the same. Ineptitude on the part of our elected officials and bad actors put our access to dependable electrical power at risk. — PolitiTweet.org
