It’s ironic that the same people who believe it’s an undue burden to show your ID to vote are perfectly fine making the elderly and disabled stand in line for hours to vote. — PolitiTweet.org

@EstProtector @GOP @laurenboebert Well, for one, her race has a total of 327k votes ours has 2.5 million. So the margins are very different. And Colorado didn’t have the problems of Maricopa County. Take care. — PolitiTweet.org

@BarryMarkson1 Many people after having already waiting hours in line were told that the printers and tabulators were not working and if they wanted to have their vote count they should go to another site. Extending hours is a very reasonable remedy. https://t.co/6Aqe0GjrfL — PolitiTweet.org

If the media truly cares about democracy, they would be the ones demanding answers instead of relying on Maricopa County’s own narrative. In the meantime, I will continue to fight for the Constitution. An oath I’ve taken to uphold as a prosecutor and to defend as a veteran. 🇺🇸 — PolitiTweet.org

Regret and a promise of an “internal investigation” is not a remedy for a consequential election that has ramifications for governance for years to come. All of Arizona should not have to suffer due to the failures of Maricopa County. — PolitiTweet.org

The election contest I filed is simply to seek justice for those who tried to exercise their right to vote who faced unprecedented and unacceptable obstacles as a direct result Maricopa County’s failures. — PolitiTweet.org

Instead, the county took a position to oppose extending voting hours when brought to court. Extending voting hours would have been an imperfect but reasonable remedy to the problems on Election Day. The legal system failed Arizona on Election Day. — PolitiTweet.org

Maricopa County knew of printer & tabulator problems as soon as voting began at 6 am. They even conducted a press conference about the problems at 8 am and the issues were not resolved until the afternoon. The county on its own could have asked a court to extend voting hours. — PolitiTweet.org

Many vote centers had their workers tell people who had already waited in line for hours that their machines were down and they should go somewhere else to vote. Undoubtedly some did go somewhere else, however, some did not. The failures of Maricopa disenfranchised voters. — PolitiTweet.org

It’s easy to dismiss Maricopa County’s problems on Election Day simply as “regrettable and unfortunate.” When it comes to our elections regret is not a substitute for justice. It isn’t just an issue of long lines and dropping ballots in box 3. — PolitiTweet.org

If a rural county had as many problems as Maricopa County did on Election Day every elected official and the media would demand an investigation. It’s a shame and pains me to say that left-wing Pima County was better prepared and ran a more competent election than Maricopa. — PolitiTweet.org
