At one location, a staggering 675 people were waiting in line to cast their ballot at 7 pm. However, the Maricopa County poll books show only 158 voters checked in after 7 pm, leaving “517 people that were unable to cast a ballot.” double Abe’s margin. https://t.co/0PxTOaZ0Kb — PolitiTweet.org

Abe Hamadeh @AbrahamHamadeh
Remember when Maricopa County violated the constitutional rights of certain journalists by banning them from press conferences? That’s all you need to know about the county. If you question them, they want to silence you. That’s the real threat to democracy. — PolitiTweet.org

What happens if Maricopa County runs another botched election in 2024? What is the remedy? At what point does the legislature or judiciary get involved? How much damage to democracy can the people take before they give up on elections? — PolitiTweet.org

An analysis by KHOU 11 found that 121 voting centers lacked sufficient ballot paper needed to cover voter turnout—more than double the number of centers that Harris County estimated to be affected. The county had previously said 46 to 68 centers ran out of their allotted paper. — PolitiTweet.org

and those that risk everything to come here for a better life and contribute to our great American story. America’s greatness is and always will be its people. 🇺🇸 — PolitiTweet.org
Abe Hamadeh @AbrahamHamadeh
America's greatness does not come from the hollowed halls of Congress, or our monuments to the past, or our mighty military. Our greatness is found in the family owned farms, the mom and pop storefronts, the college grad that risks it all to start his own company, — PolitiTweet.org

Even Governor Greg Abbot contemplates whether there needs to be a new election in parts of Texas. Our elections are sacred. A shrug of the shoulders “we’ll do better next time” attitude is unacceptable. Arizona shouldn’t have to suffer from the failures of Maricopa County. — PolitiTweet.org

The whole idea that anyone who was in like could vote is nonsense. Some vote centers at the time of closing had lines that lasted 2+ hours and full parking lots. An extension of voting hours would’ve allowed people to go to other voting centers instead of being stuck. — PolitiTweet.org
Abe Hamadeh @AbrahamHamadeh
If they wanted to gain the public’s trust for the disaster on Election Day they should’ve tried every attempt to mitigate disenfranchisement, which includes extending voting hours. Instead they opposed it. Maricopa County prioritized their pride, not the voters they represent. — PolitiTweet.org
