Despite the issues any eligible business owner in legitimate need of help should still apply in case more funding becomes available and systems improve. Local community banks have been one route and online nonbanks like Square and Paypal can take apps starting this round. — PolitiTweet.org

A new “lender gateway” built by Amazon Web Services for SBA was supposed to make make it easier especially for new nonbank lenders to submit to SBA. But not all banks ready to use and that hasn't been any guarantee of success. — PolitiTweet.org

There's no chance new applicants are getting in this round of PPP. The top 5 lenders alone had over 1 million applicants for over $100 billion, poised and ready to go at 10:30 a.m. this morning. — PolitiTweet.org

Should WPA-style infrastructure spending should include hiring out of work people to lay down high speed broadband to the millions in need of access, esp in rural areas? Or backing funds for local authority boards to put together their own profitable coops? — PolitiTweet.org

How long will this PPP last? Bulk submit of 15k at a time. Remember during the last PPP top 10 lenders had between 9.4k-33.5k loans approved each. — PolitiTweet.org

SBA took steps this weekend to create some order on Monday for PPP and avoid some crashing. Banks can bulk submit loan apps at a minimum of 15k a time via an XML file. Looks like SBA will process each loan individually. — PolitiTweet.org

Round 2 of PPP starts Monday at 10:30am. Each major bank has over 100,000 apps locked and loaded. This time they can submit to SBA near-automatically. It's first come first serve. Will whether a loan gets approved come down to the nanosecond? — PolitiTweet.org

Much outrage over PPP is because people imagine "small business" as Main Street USA. Congress executed a broader definition of "small biz" through "Small Business Administration" with banks conscripted to distribute $$ using their own filters/regs. It wasn't designed differently. https://t.co/vClB8OK6Ma — PolitiTweet.org

PPP set to "relaunch" Monday but it's unlikely any new businesses who apply now will get approved. It's only additional $310 billion and they would need at least $1 trillion to get through the backlog. Some banks already closed portals to new applicants, like Chase and PNC. https://t.co/AeEVPfOUDB — PolitiTweet.org

What happens to the lender fees that banks stood to get on the PPP money now being returned? Banking industry sources tell me no lender has gotten any of those fees yet, and if they do on the returned money, they will return those fees. — PolitiTweet.org

If PPP was limited to the 88 percent of firms with fewer than 20 employees it would have reached most of American small businesses and their employees. Firms with 100-499 employees only make up 1.7 % of small biz, yet law written to allow for 500 or fewer. https://t.co/MPNFYFLswT https://t.co/8eOrqDnCVi — PolitiTweet.org
