RT @JuddLegum: 1. The real scandal isn't what Trump said about veterans. It's what he did to them. https://t.co/j0DU7QiAJN — PolitiTweet.org

@peterjhasson I was wrong. I deleted my tweet and posted a correction. It's not true that all 1,000 were counted, however. The Secretary of State said that "some" were included in election results. Unclear how many, if any, were included in certified tallies. — PolitiTweet.org

It represents 0.08% of all absentee votes, however, and the SecState said it did not impact any outcomes. Will update as we learn more. Thanks for @dellcam for flagging. — PolitiTweet.org

In an earlier tweet I said that none of those votes were counted. None of those votes SHOULD have been counted as Georgia has a system to identify double votes. But the SecState said some of the 1K were included in results. Unclear if they were included in certified tallies. — PolitiTweet.org

@dellcam @AP "The secretary of state's office said even if someone votes twice, Georgia's voting system is designed to only count one vote from one person, and part of the investigation will determine if county officials properly followed that procedure." https://t.co/Sti3zd4QIA — PolitiTweet.org

This is a grossly irresponsible tweet. The Georgia's Secretary of State CLAIMS that 1,000 people ATTEMPTED to vote twice. No one actually had their vote counted twice. — PolitiTweet.org

@joshsternberg As someone who is self-employed and current working from my bedroom (I used to work in coffee bars a lot) I would support that effort. Seems odd to give a tax break to people who live in especially large houses — PolitiTweet.org

6. Trump publicly said that McCain and other prisoners of war were "not heroes" because they were captured. Is it a surprise that Trump also holds derogatory views on veterans that were killed? https://t.co/j0DU7QiAJN — PolitiTweet.org

3. How many vets that were given hydroxychloroquine died? We don't know because the Trump administration refuses to say. But more than 3,000 veterans have died of COVID-19 under the care of the VA. https://t.co/j0DU7QiAJN — PolitiTweet.org

A week ago, I reported that the Trump campaign had accepted over $2,000 from a notorious neo-Nazi leader The story was picked up by @thedailybeast, @businessinsider and pretty much every major Jewish publication The Trump campaign's response? Silence. https://t.co/2g8aFhoD6s — PolitiTweet.org

Many Asian and European countries are enjoying something close to normal life with modest precautions. The US continues to be ravaged by the pandemic and has no coherent national strategy. Just a reminder: Trump fired the US pandemic response team in 2018. — PolitiTweet.org

The fact that the "loser" story became the focus of the media for days while the Trump's use of hydroxychloroquine is seldom mentioned shows that, after 3+ years of Trump, powerful forces in the media are still addicted to simple narratives and controversy — PolitiTweet.org

The whole point of a story like Trump calling veterans "losers" is that it shows he doesn't have sufficient respect for veterans and might make decisions that aren't in their best interests. But we already have proof that he's making those kind of decisions. And it's ongoing. — PolitiTweet.org

2 stories: 1. Trump called veterans "losers" in 2018 2. Trump is flooding the VA w/hydroxychloroquine, an ineffective & potentially dangerous treatment for COVID. 3K veterans have died of COVID under the care of the VA. Which story is more important? Which gets more coverage? — PolitiTweet.org

Donald Trump is not a nationalist. He's a sub-nationalist. He views himself as president only of those states or cities controlled by Republicans who suck up to him. That's why he's fine bashing "Democrat-controlled" cities as if they are not part of a country that he leads. — PolitiTweet.org
