@WaywardWinifred It’s great! It’d be better if you ate ice cream with me! — PolitiTweet.org

@WaywardWinifred Additional factors, were that my now ex-husband paid the rent and my school had a repayment assistance program. Without every single privilege and sacrifice I’ve mentioned in this thread and then some, as well God’s mercy, I’d have had a lot more debt and still be paying it off. — PolitiTweet.org

Zahra Billoo @ZahraBilloo

@WaywardWinifred Jokes aside, my debt load was relatively low because I relied on family for so much during law school. It’s a privilege. Still, when I graduated, it was 20% of my net income. I drove the same decade old car and didn’t vacation internationally, among other things to save money. — PolitiTweet.org

@WaywardWinifred Right, but it’s a chicken and egg question. Do I buy them because I don’t worry or not worry because I buy them? — PolitiTweet.org

Zahra Billoo @ZahraBilloo

@WaywardWinifred Fortunate to be out of debt now. However, when I was, I was looking at a $600 per month payment on a 2009 non-profit job salary. — PolitiTweet.org

Now, the shopping bags are not a reminder of the pain anyone has caused. Instead, they’re a remainder of Allah’s infinite knowledge and mercy. — PolitiTweet.org

Zahra Billoo @ZahraBilloo

Rather than painful, it can be joyful. So this weekend, I didn’t partake in retail therapy, I partook in retail celebration. I went shopping to celebrate Allah’s mercy, protecting me from people and things in ways I don’t even fill understand. — PolitiTweet.org
