Rode the Bay Bridge for the first time (+ ride there) Cons: - uphill into the wind on the way out - they block off Treasure Island paths on weekdays, so I couldn’t take any of the photos I went to get Pros: - did it! 💪 - return trip is downhill with the wind at your back https://t.co/j0rlHhYt4R — PolitiTweet.org

There won’t be an AC adapter in the iPhone 12 box. But if you don’t have a USB-C adapter, you’ll need one. All of which is just an excuse to bring up that I enjoyed watching @JoannaStern crush the hell out of the old adapter https://t.co/wDNalO0DuD — PolitiTweet.org

A bit more the Panel Audio speaker on the Pixel 5. Google acquired a UK startup called Redux in 2018 that had developed the technology. Google chose it to for even bezels & to save space for battery. Uses a "custom transducer vibrating the OLED display" https://t.co/aWqSNq29Fe https://t.co/OkvN2NHfPu — PolitiTweet.org

A note about the Ceramic Shield on the new iPhone 12 models. While it should definitely do better against drops (obvs will need to be tested), it’s not necessarily going to be stronger against scratches. There’s often a tick-tock cadence with drop vs scratch on Corning’s stuff — PolitiTweet.org

@vjeranpavic @BeccaFarsace Bottom line for both Pixel phones is that they’re not especially impressive, but they’re well executed for what they are and priced about what they should be. That will either make you disappointed or contented. — PolitiTweet.org

Pixel 5: Nicer design and overall experience. It's more money for a lot of little things you'll feel but others won't see. No flashiness. — PolitiTweet.org

Anyway, I think both Pixels are good for different reasons. Pixel 4A 5G: a faster processor than the budget 4A and bigger screen without too much more money. (Except the Verizon version, which is $100 more, which is a bad deal, which is sad!) — PolitiTweet.org

Panel Audio is neat for phone calls because you don't have to align it to your ear. But it's not great for gaming or watching videos, because that channel just doesn't sound as good as a real speaker when it's not up to your ear. — PolitiTweet.org

One notable thing about the Pixel 5 that Google weirdly didn't say much about: the earpiece "speaker" is "Panel Audio," meaning the screen itself vibrates and is the speaker. It's how Google got the small, perfectly even bezels around the screen. — PolitiTweet.org
