Anyway, in closing it does look like a big backpack and so when I attach my phone to it I think of the whole package as being … Large and on charge https://t.co/qYUXnT0Y2v — PolitiTweet.org
Dieter Bohn @backlon
I should also say I don’t agree with the complaints that it’s silly looking or even too big. ALL external batteries are a little goofy looking in some way. And as for size: it’s already not a very big battery, smaller would be unacceptable. — PolitiTweet.org
Dieter Bohn @backlon
@jacksondame You can really do either. I usually use the battery as a wireless charger so it’s convenient to leave it plugged in. But if you want the iPhone to charge faster, just swap it. — PolitiTweet.org
Dieter Bohn @backlon
This is the right way to think about it. MagSafe Battery a thing to extend, not to rapidly charge. Wireless is inherently less efficient than a wire, so taking steps to optimize for the wireless charge scenario is smart. But again, I think the Anker is the smarter buy at $50 — PolitiTweet.org

@Rob_Pratt @backlon 5W is smart dude 🙄 this battery pack is meant to stick on the iPhone. It's NOT meant to fill it… https://t.co/45e8p8yX1L
Dieter Bohn @backlon
It’s the right call to use Lightning on the MagSafe battery because that’s the same port the iPhone has, but it underlines for me that Apple missed a huge opportunity with the iPhone X to switch to USB-C. — PolitiTweet.org
Dieter Bohn @backlon
One limitation of the MagSafe battery? Lightning is only one-directional when it comes to charging. The competing Anker has a USB-C port that can go both ways so you can charge something with a wire. — PolitiTweet.org
Dieter Bohn @backlon
Here’s my review of the Apple MagSafe Battery. It’s a top-up for an iPhone, not a fill-up. Won’t fully charge even an iPhone 12 Mini. I think of it as a MagSafe charging puck that happens to have a battery, and in that sense I like it. But $99 is a lot https://t.co/DQDvfSj8QK https://t.co/I7knMl4xQ9 — PolitiTweet.org

Google’s smartwatch platform is officially Wear OS 3. And updates are only coming to a few current Wear OS watches, and to no Tizen watches. And they’ll be late. And problematic? Here’s the new MagSafe battery on an iPhone 12 Mini. Matches the width, curve of the corners exactly. And yes, it’s thinner than the Anker. What do you want to know?
