I am not sure when this keyboard button got added to the autocomplete bar on iPadOS, but thank god for it. Split screen apps don’t resize to accommodate it so buttons were getting occluded and it was such a hassle. Now it’s tap tap to hide it. To be clear, I’m not suggesting you reset all settings if you are having this problem. That would need to be verified to work and uh, resetting all settings sucks and is very annoying. Trust me I have had to do it twice. — PolitiTweet.org

After much consternation, I found the solution for myself. I had to reset ALL settings. Resetting “network” settings doesn’t clean out the MMS gateway settings. I don’t know if that’s what’s up with these reports of lost iPhone 12 messages, but it smells like the same problem — PolitiTweet.org
