@StevenTDennis @nielslesniewski I know what you're saying, but Frank Lautenberg left the Senate and came back -- 2 years later -- and all his seniority was gone. So if Perdue leaves Senate for a week or 10 days, does he lose his seniority standing? I have no idea. Not sure anyone ever considered this. — PolitiTweet.org

My serious Senate Q, mostly for @nielslesniewski - Perdue stops being a senator on Jan 3 at noon, but Loeffler continues her service throughout. If they both win runoffs, and get sworn in on say, Jan 12, isn’t she Georgia’s senior senator? — PolitiTweet.org

@ambermoon1852 @nielslesniewski Perdue and Loeffler, or Warnock and Ossoff, are certain to be sworn in about a week or so after the normal class of 2020 is sworn in. Maybe Jan. 12? Technically, Perdue will have left Senate and rejoined, if he wins, falling behind dozens of other senators. — PolitiTweet.org
