@StevenSandhoff @jimmysong Lots of countries that tax their citizens in their own currency have had hyperinflation. Seems insufficient for imbuing value. Baskets sound really interesting until you realize they're just as centralized as a fiat currency because someone has to administer the basket. — PolitiTweet.org
