@varun_santhanam The us government can regulate business but not speech. If there was a law that set up the us government to determine acceptable speech on Facebook (beyond what is already illegal to say in general) then it would be challenged in court and in my opinion struck down. — PolitiTweet.org

@varun_santhanam The primary speech laws in my country that I'm aware of are slander / libel and then the FCC's regulation of public airwaves. Media is afaik the least regulated industry in the US. Precedent only clarifies the first amendment in edge cases, it hasn't overridden it. — PolitiTweet.org
