The smallest/cheapest primate you can easily get in the US is a marmoset. It will run you from 4-7k. They’re the ones people refer to as finger monkeys when they’re babies. They get bigger though… especially their teeth. Once puberty hits, you may end up with a furry alligator. — PolitiTweet.org

I don’t think you can get bush babies in the US (short of paying a trafficker to do it illegally)… but I’ve heard they’re more like lemurs and ring tails are really mean/bitey— so I would def do a ton of research before going there if you live in a country where you can. — PolitiTweet.org
