Just because Zoom lies about being end-to-end encrypted when it's actually not doesn't mean that it's "insecure" -- competitors like Google Hangouts/Meet, Skype, etc. are also not E2E encrypted (but none of them claim to be). The big problem here is lying — PolitiTweet.org

Consumers can't make informed decisions if companies lie to them. There are many cases where people will decide that Zoom's use of transport security is fine for their purposes (it's not ideal, but still totally fine for most daily purposes!) -- the problem here is the lying — PolitiTweet.org
