So yes, mastodon is a cute diversion with no hierarchy or centralized order, which is throwing us back decades in internet communication terms. We take a ton of good things about Twitter for granted, we can't recreate them elsewhere and I hope Twitter survives. It's a faint hope — PolitiTweet.org
