lastly, this whole article is a good example of the reason for reporters to understand tech. if a source told me that the VP preferred text messages over email because of security, my first question back would be to clarify that point because “text messages” is extremely vague. — PolitiTweet.org

@PenLlawen outside of the US, “text message” almost never means SMS. but in the US, SMS is default, with iMessage being the next most common thing. have to assume it’s the least secure option given the limited information provided — PolitiTweet.org
