@samrutherford modern dishwashers are notoriously bad at drying, leaving any upside down cups in the top rack with a pool of water sitting on them. once you touch them the water runs off... right onto the bottom rack unless you've emptied it first. — PolitiTweet.org

@samrutherford so maybe if you're working with an old dishwasher that has a legit drying cycle that works, the point is moot, but i've had two highly rated modern Bosch dishwashers (in different houses) require you basically unload bottom up. — PolitiTweet.org
