it’s been interesting watching the hype around Thread blossom. right now, it’s effectively the equivalent of Zigbee or Z-Wave, but for HomeKit. none of the devices released so far work outside of Apple’s ecosystem, and Thread doesn’t do anything on Google’s Hub or Eero. — PolitiTweet.org
