@davezatz @reckless ha, according to the installation video, it doesn’t even wire into the wall at all. you just jump the existing power cables so they are closed and then wire the Hue into the existing switch. that’s why it needs a battery — there’s no connection to the house’s grid. — PolitiTweet.org
