you email them the model of door opener you have after you buy the controller and they ship the remote to you and you can finish the install. the ironic part is because you don't have to wire the controller into the door opener, the install process is actually much easier — PolitiTweet.org

so this company's solution is to send you a wireless remote, like you might clip to your car's sunvisor, that you wire to the controller. you program the remote to your door like any other, and then this controller "pushes" the button when you use the app or a voice command — PolitiTweet.org

none of this would be necessary if myQ wasn't such a garbage platform that either didn't work with anything or milks you to buy more hardware for basic HomeKit support. this controller gives me HomeKit, Alexa, Assistant, and SmartThings support. hence my big old 🖕 to it all. — PolitiTweet.org
