@jvettorino if you get the Nest or Eero, both of those combine the 2.4 and 5GHz network under the same name, so you don’t actually see two networks and you only have to connect your devices once — they just switch as needed after that. — PolitiTweet.org

@jvettorino usually it’s better to have separate devices because it’s easier to swap out their crappy router for a better mesh one and then just use their modem. not sure why it’s not giving you a 5GHz signal, though that would be the router’s fault, not the modem — PolitiTweet.org
