@McFaul true. but seems v unlikely: 1) obvious and high economic costs imposed by us and europe 2) lack of domestic support (which he can potentially gin up…but only short term) 3) difficulty in occupying hostile territory putin can miscalculate but harder to say he’s irrational. — PolitiTweet.org
