That was the 2nd gen Klan. At that point it was mostly a men’s club that opposed Catholic immigrants. It was quite popular and not controversial at the time. The 3rd generation was started after WW2 and was pretty obscure and had little support. It died off around the early 80s. — PolitiTweet.org
