There’s linguistic tafsīr (Zamakhshari), juristic tafsīr (Qurtubi), esoteric tafsīr (eg: ibn ‘Arabi) etc The original linguistic sense guides the foreign عجمي mind, as it’s difficult to capture Arabiyyah in a foreign language: “fear” خاف has its own root, distinct from وقى — PolitiTweet.org
