Ok. It's a book called Deterrence in American Foreign Policy: Theory and Practice by Alex George (my undergraduate supervisor) and Richard Smoke, published in 1974. It's THE class on coercive diplomacy,. I highly recommend it. Lots of lessons for our current crisis. — PolitiTweet.org
