2 quick reactions though. 1st, In Cold War, we didn't need to contain communism globally. We could have won the Cold War without fighting in Vietnam (or Angola). 2nd we overestimated dangers of democratization. When Chile, ROK, Philippines democratized, commies didn't take over. — PolitiTweet.org
